Raising £2,000 for Charity on the London to Bright Cycle Ride June 21st 2015by
This year’s London to Brighton Ride celebrated its 40th year. Cyclists took up the challenge of cycling 54 miles from Clapham Common, London, leaving the buzz of the city and heading towards the country lanes, facing the final challenge of the very steep hill, Beacon Hill, before descending into Brighton’s seaside finish on a wonderfully warm day on Sunday 21st June, 2015.
We are very proud that our fabulous team of 10, Ian Dawkins, Darren Lee, Andy Muckett, Chris Anderson, Shaun Willian, Brian, David Woolford, Mo Hassan, Lee Moran and Danny took part setting off from the start line at 6 am and have raised an impressive £2,000 for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham, Surrey. The Hospice provides a wonderful alternative to hospital for many people in the West Surrey and North East Hampshire area, supporting patients and their families to manage pain and improve quality of life for those who need it.
One our important values in the Hi-Speed Group is to work in the community and local area raising funds for these worthwhile charities and will be involved in August at SamFest in Tongham. Another well-deserving charity event.
What a fantastic achievement guys!
Here’s to an even better fund raising event in 2016 … and maybe we can get some girls to take up the challenge next year…
